Welcome to the premier international justice gathering for Black faith leaders, featuring preaching, teaching, strategy sessions, and activism.
Our new direction embraces futuring as both a theological commitment and a strategic framework. According to Maisha T. Winn in her book entitled Futuring Black Lives: Independent Black Institutions and the Literary Imagination she defines “futuring” as a practice of imagining, designing, and preparing for liberated Black futures by drawing on the intellectual, cultural, and institutional traditions created by Black communities themselves.” Furthermore, it is a refusal to be constrained by the crises of the present. It is a declaration that Black futures are sacred, possible, and already unfolding.

The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Conference, Inc. (SDPC) has launched a “Fifteen4TheFuture” campaign!
We ask you to partner with us and commit to a monthly investment of $15.00 (just .50 cents a day!), as we continue to move towards a 22nd Century vision of faith and futuring Black lives.
Our mission is, “Through education, advocacy, and activism, we interrupt injustice!” How do we accomplish this? We design a future where WE are in it… and where WE are flourishing in the midst of those who are seeking to eliminate us.
We know we cannot do this work without your support, your prayers, and your generosity!
